Candle Care

All of our candles are made with 100% soy wax!

Safety and Candle Care

Please avoid drafts. Cut your wick approximately 5mm or shorter before each burn.

Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours at a time and always keep a lit candle in view and extinguish the candle before leaving the home or going to bed.

Please keep out of children and pets reach.

Wax Melt Care

After selecting your scent pop out 1 or 2 cubes from the container place them in the tray of the wax melter. Turn on your electric warmer or light a tea light. Once warm the wax melt will slowly release its scent.

Please note the wax will evaporate slightly but is not like a candle the fragrance will be released with some of the wax being left behind.

Please do not burn for more than 4 hours, once the fragrance has evaporated completely leaving behind the wax let the wax solidify before cleaning out the wax melter and disposing of the wax. Clean your wax melter before melting a new cube of wax. Keep out of children and pets reach.

Decor Candle Care

Decor candles can be burned but they are intended as decor.

If you choose to burn your candle please ensure it is placed in a dish on an even surface to catch melted wax. Store in a cool dry place, keep out of direct sunlight to avoid discolouration.

Keep out of reach from young children and pets. Trim wick before each burn approximately 5mm or shorter and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Why Soy Wax?

Soy wax is 100% natural, non-toxic and biodegradable! Soy candles are made from soybeans, a natural, environment friendly, renewable source. Candles made from soy wax support agriculture and farmers.

Candles made from soy wax burn cleaner and 25% to 50% longer compared to parafin wax resulting in less soot. It does not release harmful vapours like other types of wax making it family and pet friendly.

Soy candles burn slower at a cooler temperautre. The cooler burn means you wont have to buy a new candle as often! The slow burn allows the scent to gradually be released this creates a more pleasant atmosphere.

Our Soy Wax products are handmade, vegan-friendly and cruelty free.

A few tips for your candles to last longer!

The first burn

The first burn is the most important! Please follow these tips for longer lasting beautiful candles!

Trim your wicks!

We recommend you maintain a short wick. Trim your wick to approximately 5mm in length before every burn. This will prevent wick distortion, soot and control the size of the flame, allowing you to get the most time out of your candle.

Did you know candles have a memory?

After trimming your wick we recommend allowing your candles melt pool (the melted wax around the wick) to reach the entire circumference of the jar. This should take between 2 to 4 hours. This will ensure your candle burns evenly while making its way down the jar, it prevents tunneling and activates the memory in your candle so it burns properly everytime.

Candle Appearance

We aim to always deliver the perfect candle, although sometimes things can happen. Because we use 100% soy wax there can be some slight imperfections.

Please remember these are only comestic, it does not effect the burn of your candle in anyway.

Frosting

Frosting is when the wax of your candle turns white, it can be in patches or along the entire surface. Don't be alarmed it is perfectly natural and an effect of using soy wax. It is the natural wax re-crystallising and trying to return to its natural state.

Frosting is a sign that the wax is 100% natural soy way. It is cosmetic only it does not affect your candle burn.

Wet Spots

Wet spots happen with shrinkage or air bubbles occur as the wax is cooling inside the container. Part of the wax may pull away from the jar giving it this look.

This is common with soy in cooler climates. It does not affect the way your candle burns.

Bumpy tops

Does the top of your candle look bumpy when it has set after burning? Thats okay its perfectly normal. This occurs when the wax cools qucikly, it does not affect future burns of your candle.

Discolouration

Vanillin is a primary component in vanilla bean extract and a common element in some other fragrances. This can discolour a candle over time. Please don't worry it is perfectly normal.
Another cause of discoluration can be whena candle is exposed to direct or indirect light.
